English Amateur Snooker Championship 2009

The East Midlands regional qualifiers will be held at Willie Thorne's in Leicester on Sunday 8th March 2009.

There are a number of Notts players competing this year and they have all been drawn in round 2 as follows:

ENGLISH AMATEUR QUALIFIERS 2008-2009

Northen SC and Woking SC host the last 16 North & South, English Amateur Championship, May 2nd & 3rd.
Eight regions have played to produce the last 32 with pride of place going to Ladies No1 Reanne Evans winning three matches to qualify in the West Midlands.  Hugh Abernathy has made the highest break so far a 132 the former professional failed to qualify, hundred breaks in short supply so far this season.  All the top three players in the Pro Ticket Tour rankings Jimmy Robertson, Stuart Carrington and Sean Bullock reached the next stage.

East Midlands, Willie Thorne SC ? 3
A small field saw veteran Barry Stark through defeating Colin Mitchell 4-3 after leading 3-1 and Regional Junior Tour winner James Jelley 4-2, Scott Miller dropped just one frame in his two matches.
Ben Wollaston beat Kyren Wilson in the final round 4-2 led 3-0 Wilson 95 break
for 3-2.
