How to become a registered player
Option 1 (best value)
Play in a league or open tournament
Your registration will last for one year from the end of the month in which you played your last match in the league or open tournament. For example, if you play in an open tournament on 10 April 2020, your registration will not expire until 30 April 2021.
Your registration will renew every time you play in a league or open tournament, so as long as you play in at least one per year, your registration will never expire!
Open tournaments are played on one day, usually a Sunday. Anyone can simply turn up on the day to play in an open tournament.
Leagues are played on a series of dates. For example, the Sunday League is played on three Sundays, two weeks apart. The Home League is more flexible with the players controlling the dates on which their matches are played.
Pay a £20 registration fee
Your registration will last for one year from the end of the month in which you paid your registration fee. For example, if you pay your registration fee on 10 April 2020, your registration will not expire until 30 April 2021.
This option is ideal for players who are unable to play in an open tournament or league, but who would like to enter Nottingham Snooker’s lucrative VAR tournaments.
VAR tournaments are played on a round by round basis with random draws for each round. There are no deadlines for matches to be played. The players who are drawn against each other simply arrange their match and play it at their convenience. All matches must be played at an Approved Venue.
