So going on the fact that ive now had 4 entrants drop out for various reasons, which now leaves a mere 8 entrants.

Should i still go ahead with it or should i just pospone it for another day ?

Why dont you just make it £10 entry fee, for all entrants,
that way it is still £80 collected for a good cause, is better than nothing.

But if you do decide to cancel, just let me know.

Well what im thinking at the moment is If only 8 turn up then so be it.

2 groups of 4

2 frames - 2 points for a win 1 for a draw looser pays £3 if its a draw both pay £1.50.

Top 2 from each group into the semi if enough time, otherwise top of each group into the final. semis/final best of 3/5 depending on time.

It's your call buddy, I don't mind either way but .....

If you lose all you games and don't qualify for the final or the semi final you only pay £9.00, which is less than the original £10.00 stated it's just that you may end up not making the same amount of money for charity using this method, unless you change the figures?

Well the night was a good laugh, between all 5 that did decide to turn up so many thanks to Glenn price, Tim Hudson, Paul Bell, Sean Croft & of course myself. Who got into the spirit of things and did our bit for charity.  :bravo: :bravo: :bravo: :bravo: :bravo: :bravo: :bravo: :bravo: :bravo: :bravo:

Plus a huge thanks to spot on bulwell for giving us some free tables.

Due to limited numbers we deceided to do a league with the winner being crowned the comic relief champion.

That winner was mr sean croft who won all his matches.

Full report will follow later.

It's a shame you didn't get a few more James.

I will sort the trophy out later in the week when I'm off work.

Well done Sean!

Sean Croft

Thanks Steve, Comic Relief Champion thats a nice title to have under my belt considering how drunk i was last night the only reason i played so well was because i had to use the table to cling on and keep me on my feet! lol  :drink: too many what a good night we had in the end thanks James you did really well, well done.

i cant belive i won 2nil all the way bladderd i should drink more often lol
Sean Croft

Glenn Price

Shame you never got to play me buddy, but time was getting on and i had to get back to Gedling and be prepaired to get up with the kids, never mind Comic Relief champion does sound good, but the fact we never played must leave it a hollow victory, seeing as our game may of been a draw or even a win for me, then the name on the trophey would of been mine. lol.

i had a great night and getting to meet you guys for the first time was a pleasure, i really dont know how you are in the position you are in in the leauge, because you are all very solid snooker players and an asset to the leauge.

Well done James for making a silk purse from a sows ear, a great night enjoyed by all.  :bravo: :bravo:

                     P          W          D          L          F          A          T
Croft              4           4           0          0          8          0          8
Price              4           2           1          1          5          3          5
Robinson         4           1           1          2          3          5          3
Bell                4           0           3          1          3          5          3
Hudson           4           0           2          2          2          6          2

So with Croft winning all his matches and playing quite well despite being ( and useing his words) Bladderd  :drink: :drink: with a couple of 30 breaks and quite few 20s. A deserved winner i guess in the end.

With all 5 players chipping in £10 at the very begining and still paying 20p per foul shot, and some extra loose change getting chucked in for good measure we did manage to collect a small but nice £66.50

Once again thanks to glenn, paul, sean and tim for at least showing up and making it an enjoyable night and though sean was the overal winner on the night i think all 5 of us were WINNERS.  :bravo: :bravo: :bravo: :bravo:

On a funnier note i think Mr JON 8 PINTS MASON, has a new challanger to his crown

Well done master cueist - have you been practicing in the wilderness . Not heard from you in ages. Hope your work and family are ok. You got a reputation now your the comic relief  champion. Well done mate.

Sorry I didn't come James, I chose to go and watch the pros at sheffied.

My tip for the world champion is Stephen lee. Although he's had one too many pukka pies (he looks twice the size in real life). He's cueing like a dream. Best cue action of all the top players and lovely to watch.

Davis was fuming and stormed out the arena. Very uncharacteristic.

Seen Hamilton smoking cigars at the interval, very relaxed.  He lost 10-5 and played like someone from our division 2 .

Maybe i should of got BLADDERDD! last night, but i suppose even though i'm truely not happy with my shameful performance last night  :'(, i should take one on the chin for it because like the great pro's say: it's the one's you win when playing bad..  that count the most! Mark williams for example won 4 frames against John Higgins in the UK championships without making a break over 40.
