Oakleigh Lodge Intermediate Handicap Snooker Championship

Congratulations to Sam Haugh (+14) who beat fellow BCI player Paul Bell (+21) 3-0 in the final of the Oakleigh Lodge sponsored Intermediate Handicap Snooker Championship final.

Frame one was very tight with neither player able to string any decent breaks together.  Haugh took it in the end to go 1-0 up.

The second frame was much more one-sided, Haugh making breaks of 20 and 14.  Bell played on despite needing 6 snookers at one point but it was all in vain as Haugh sealed the win on the blue to take a 2-0 lead.

Haugh made another very good 20 break in the third frame but Bell again fought back well.  Bell potted a great blue and pink to draw level at 40 points each but Haugh sealed the match with a fabulous long black.

A huge thanks to Pete Trout and the BCI team for allowing us the use of table 7 again.
