pairs runners up from last year got there season up and running with a 2 - 1 win over new comers to the league zeb and john. the first frame was tight with zeb potting balls into the middle pockets at mach 3 and they stayed in he knows his table well, john marshall struggles to get himself going, and it came down to the blue with zeb taking a difficult shot only for the blue to go round the table  and drop into the yellow pocket, and finished with the white right next to the pink to seal the first frame. the next frame saw a bit of nip and tuck with zeb and john going into an early lead with a good safety sot from zeb leaving gary tight on the baulk rail a long straight red was the only shot on which gary sank to then knock a 30+ break of it putting himself and john back in contention, some solid play from gary and jon then took it to 1 - 1. the third and deciding frame was again nip and tuck till the end with the y,g,b,b,p,b left jon f took y,g,b,b which brown to blue was a great positional shot then pots the blue leaving white to close to the pink to pot it , leaving zeb a safety shot at the pink good white on the baulk rail again pink near middle pocket , gary then pots the pink for frame and match.
good match nice to see 2 ex superleague players back in action.
