Well the bubbles burst, Arnold who had been surviving on a 'wing and a prayer' and getting through by the 'skin of their teeth' finally came a cropper.

Arnold away  Alan C  38 lost to Paul ?  48  when he fluked the blue into the middle bag leaving a simple pink double ( thats TWO weeks running ). Stan CANDLER 46  Rob 25 ? had a good tussle and managed to come out on top. Andy NICHOLS was trailing Tony ? 36 -30 but Andy made a good 27 clearance of the colours.  In the pairs Andy and Stan playing  Paul & Rob were cruising 28 points in front with the colours on, Andy went out of turn giving 4 away and Arnold later fouled the blue. The Peoples Hall pair took the blue and pink but Andy was left with a fine chip into the centre pocket having to play tight off the top cushion to take the frame.  Arnold 3 - 1

At Home Sean KElly playing Zeb - Zeb opened with a 24, Sean came back with a 38 but Zeb took the frame on the blue. John MARSHALL was too strong for Ken CUNNINGHAM. Chris WOOD lost to ? on the blue.  MARSHALL and Zeb plaing Sean and Bill BURTON took the pairs on the pink.  Arnold 0-4
