A tough re-introduction to singles league snooker for me, playing Keith who has won this league for the last two years.

Nevertheless, I feel I gave him a tough match.  I had a chance to go 2-1 up but I played poor position from green to brown which was the story of my night really, positional play just not good enough.

Keith had a nice 49 break in the final frame and whilst I laid a good snooker to try and get back into it (47 behind with 43 on the table) Keith played an excellent escape and then potted the red when I left it over the bag with my next shot.

I really enjoyed the match, really nice to have to think about playing top notch safety again.  Thanks Keith and see you again soon.

Keith Holgate

A tough match indeed!
Steve played great safety throughout the match, but failed to score when the chances came along.
Thanks for the game SB, see you soon :)
