I saw this coming, well done Paul put your foot down mate😃, get all these N/Rs on now 👍

David Casey

I agree with Molly well done Paul

There's actually quite a few matches that should be recorded as a N/R too Molly. Especially in Premier A & B. Let's see if the NBSA follow their own rules.

For goodness sake it's summer...no need to go overboard on rules particularly when it is off season or you will just kill the game!

Jamie, it's exactly the same rules that apply for the summer as the winter. Just because it's the summer why should it be any different! Also it's the same qualifying criteria as the winter singles to get in to the Champion of Champions. You ask the players how many of them have entered the singles just to try & get in to the CofC's. The answer would be lots. Definitely in the higher leagues.

Until the NBSA clamp down on the offenders. It is always going to continue. It's about time it was stopped.

Also, players playing whenever they feel like & not adhereing to the rules has been going for a very long time. Certainly since I've been playing in the NBSA.

Finally, if players can't fulfil / don't want to play because "it's summer". Don't enter. Leave it to the players who want to play.

David Casey

I've entered to try and compete with the players that have enter also to try and get a place in the chains of champs but people not contacting players about there fixtures is not on!!!  But it's definitely not a off season just because some players opt not to enter! To the ones bag have entered fair play to us all on keeping the snooker league running!! It's still a comp to win the league!!

Says the guy who concedes a frame in his last match of the winter league...which could have been critical...

It wasn't critical at that point as I already knew what was going off! Yes was a bad thing to do at that time by if I wasn't messed about on that match I could of easily claimed that match! Back to the point what do you mean off season !!!!!

Jamie Moore

Snooker has always been a seasonal game...generally between September and and end of April...so yes in the summer I would say it's off season.

Team leagues and singles leagues are still being run so can't be a off season never mind the snooker going off in Australia!!

Jamie Moore

There's always been summer leagues and summer competitions...you work in a snooker club that should be a good indicator... I'm sure you have waiting lists in the summer....case closed I have made my point...you guys should enjoy the game as it's meant to be enjoyed..

The main point is that the rules are followed in the MTL, TTL & the season long tournaments. So why can't they be followed in the singles whether it is summer or winter being played!

On about the "off season". The Towers used to play in the Mansfield & district league where it was only played September to April / May. I entered a team in the NBSA because we wanted to play summer league snooker too. Teams now have the option to choose either. Nowadays, I wouldn't say snooker is seasonal. Many years ago, I'd have agreed with you Jamie
