Pegasus SC 'B'  6-2 Lenton Liberal Club

Pegasus snooker club ran out 6-2 winners with the main damage being inflicted at Lenton Liberal Club.  Lenton's Matt Savage obviously managed to walk under not one but two ladders on the way to the match as he astonished the audience with some of the worst luck ever witnessed in a frame of snooker.  On several occasions he somehow managed to snooker himself by a flick here and a nudge there not to mention the in-offs of which the last one presented Mike Langdon with the chance he needed sinking a long green before clearing down to and including the pink to win the frame.  Ken Michell then put Pegasus two up knocking in breaks of 26 and 16 in a comfortable win  against Steve Dickson to record his fourth straight win.  Daniel Norton enjoyed a good morale boosting victory against James Wood leaving Langdon & Michell in a no pressure situation in the pairs.  Once again it was the impressive Michell who stole the show getting the Pegasus pair off to a great start by knocking in a good 25 break.  The Lenton pairing of Savage and Hewitt were slow out of the blocks but did pull themselves back into the frame by gaining the 1 snooker that they required, however, a fluked brown from Michell condemned the Lenton team to the whitewash.  Lenton's Adam Goodall seems to enjoy playing at Pegasus and just a week after dumping Steve Booth out of the pairs competition he put 'The Force' to the sword once again with an excellent thirty odd point win.  Andy Orange responded positively for Pegasus with an handsome 79-24 win over James Murrin to level the score but once again Lenton hit back when Jim Wright proved too strong for Pegasus youngster Chris Mathers.  Pegasus leveled once again in the final frame of the match that a football comentator would probably best describe as end to end stuff when Booth & Orange saw off Lenton's pairing of Clarke & Hamlin for an overall scoreline of 6-2.

Well done boys to an excellent 1st half to the season after what was a shaky start. Keep it Going!. :bravo:

A rare defeat for The Force at home I see!

A good win in the pairs there Mike against last season's pairs finalists.

Well against one half of the pairs runner's up, didn't he partner Adam Goodall who was too busy thumping the Force?

Good win all the same but have to put it down to my right hand man Ken who carried me.  There's been a lot of cracking new signings this season at Pegasus and Ken looks to be another. He had a couple of 20+ breaks tonight and has won 4 on the spin now not to mention a 69 break against Danny CN the other day!!!

Yes, I saw "Savage &" and automatically assumed it would be Goodall!  In that case, not such a good win, as Savage without Goodall is like Morecambe without Wise!

Love the photo steve! Think that was taken after we skipped out of Pegasus after our good result against the Force in the first round of the pairs.

Just did a double take on Mike's last feed, not to mention the 69.....

That's an excellent match report Mike and it's going word for word in Ballsmania!  I particularly like the bit about Matt's run of bad luck!

Ken Michell looks like a great signing.  Where do you keep finding them from?
