Please note the following rule change for the 2009/10 season.

B. General Playing Rules

3. No player is allowed to play more than one singles match and one doubles match per night with the exception of substitutes (see rule 9 below).

9. Any club entering more than one team in the league may use substitutes in league matches (including play-offs) on the following terms:

i)   A player with a handicap of +14 or greater (eg. +21, +28 etc) may play for two teams from the same club on the same night providing those teams are in different divisions.  These players are referred to as "substitutes".
ii)   This rule applies in league matches only (including end of season play-offs), not in cup matches.
iii)   There is no limit to the number of players who can act as substitutes on any one night, however teams should ensure that matches are as free-flowing as possible.
iv)   There is no limit to the number of times a player can act as substitute during the season.
