WILSON WINS AGAIN
EXTENDS LEAD

4TH FINAL LOSS FOR JENNINGS

6 NEW BEST PERFORMANCES

Kyren Wilson relentlessly marches on in the Under 16?s Series, Potters, Coalville winning Event 6 defeating Nick Jennings 3-0 in the final from 40 players who made 45 reported breaks over forty.

With the win Wilson in his 4th final out of six events played in the series extends his lead to 222 points over Mitchell Mann.
Jennings in his 2nd final in this age group, 4th at the club since April in the six events overall he has played climbs to 3rd spot from 5th.

A break of 38 secured the first frame of the final (68-37), Jennings led in the second frame with a run of 37 however Wilson fired back with a 60 to snatch the frame (66-42).
The winner took control of the 3rd frame with a 41 break but faltered, Jennings back in with 29 now lacking any composure missed and Wilson
potted enough points to win (77-35).

Wilson scored consistently all day with many clearances beating Lee Fuller 3-0 breaks of 57 and 92, Oliver Brown 3-0 runs of 46 and 54, Ben Cooper 3-0 break of 53.
He led 2-0 in the quarters against English Under 14 winner Sam Craigie with a 47 break looked to win 3-0 with a 62 effort in the 3rd frame but Craigie cleared with 75, Wilson also making a 75 break to take the decider.
In the semi finals Wilson made breaks of 40 and 61 to beat Robert Adams 3-1.

Twice plate winner this series Jennings a relative unknown 6 months ago now a feared name in the junior ranks reached the final by defeating George Marter 3-2 breaks of 46 and 47, Marter leading 2-1 with a 66 break.
Reprieved Jennings won the next three matches with less effort beating Joel Walker 3-0, Shaun Somerville 3-1 breaks of 41 and 54 finally in a rush Mitchell Travis 3-1 with breaks of 59,63 and 82.

FIRST WIN FOR WALKER

Young Joel Walker 9th in last years series, 12th at present , honoured with the Star of the Future in last years awards claimed his first title defeating Callum Downing in his first final 2-0, the pair also clashed in the last 32 of the main event Walker again winning 3-1 with a 57.

Six best performances

Besides Downing, now 18th, five other youngsters registered their best performances at Potters in the Main Event Nathan Davenport, age 12, 19th, already twice a plate finalist reached the last eight after edging the runner up in the years opening event James Jelley 3-2 in first round.
Mitchell Travis, 6th and Robert Adams, 8th the semi finals for the first time.
In the plate Ian Hay won some prize money for the first time and Adam Bobat, 22nd reached the semi finals and made breaks of 46, 48 twice and a 60 in the main event losing 3-2 to Travis.
