DEBUT FINAL HARRISON

Burns wins plate on debut


Mitchell Mann racked up his first Under 21 title the 7th different winner in the year long Ranking Series, Willie Thorne?s, Leicester (ex Potters) defeating Ben Harrison on his debut 4-3 after trailing 3-1 in the final.

Mann jumps back up to 6th place from 14th after missing a few events, Harrison straight into the top 32 in at 32nd place a Grand Finals spot beckoning for the winner of the first two EASB Regional Junior Tour - South Events

Harrison dominated the opening frames of the final breaks of 33,34 and a 85 in the 4th
frame saw the Wiltshire 16 year old lead 3-1, Mann a 53 break for 1-1.
Mann drew level at 3-3 winning the 5th and 6th frames on the latter colours and he clinched victory on the final red after Harrison lost out 5 times in succession on the miss rule.

The winner recorded three 4-1 wins in his opening three matches beating James Jelley the previous days Under 16 winner James Jelley, Rob McCeune, L.Shanker, 53 break and twice finalist Kevin Yates 4-0, 52 and 135 breaks.

Harrison impressive on his first appearance defeated Sameer Knight 4-2, 78 break, Darren Burns 4-0, Scott Mcgaw 4-1 and last years double rankings winner in the semi finals Stephen Craigie 4-2 from 2-0 down.

Century and plate final again

Sam Craigie made another losing century break a 103 down and out 4-2 to Yates and then went onto reach the plate final losing 2-1 to Darren Burns on the Liverpool players debut.

Next event Sunday 2nd December ? Grand Finals top 32 Sun December 16th.

Next years Under 21?s is to be replaced with an Open Series with a guaranteed ?500 first prize, Grand Finals Dec 2008.
