Considering that there is no longer a Nazareth House, the snooker players of Nottinghamshire, MUST, to survive, amalgamate and consolidate the NBSA where league matches can be played on a Monday (NNIA) OR on a Tuesday (NHSL) - considering that the NHSL continue to struggle to compete with originally 8 players, and then 6 players, should we now adopt the NNIA system of FOUR players (the remaining 12 ? NHSL teams could surely create 24 x '4-man-teams').
I know we have only just had the NHSL A.G.M. it will obviously be too late for this season but I think the time has come for the amalgamation to be seriously considered for next season.

The "BIG" question is do the NNIA want to join together with the NHSL and make it all "Nottingham snooker league"? I personally think it's a great idea, but is this what the teams want? Who will run it? Who will be treasurer, chairman etc? Does it need a committee? What are the league fees that need to be put it place? The two leagues are so different now and that's the dilemma. There are several teams that play in both. Are you only going to get them on one night or both. If it were only on one night it would dimminish one of the leagues, not extend them. Some teams play in the NNIA because they can't get enough players to play in the NHSL. Phoenix being one. Are they going to abandon the Monday night and play Tuesday's? There are a thousand and one questions that need to be asked and sorted out.

What you are saying is that it would be all run by one committee, or whatever and there would be a Nottingham Snooker League (Monday), and a Nottingham Snooker League (Tuesday).

If this is what the snooker players of Nottingham and surrounding districts want then i suggest that it sorted out well before the summer, as i want to implement some rule changes of my own for the summer months. Is the "Six Reds league" still going to be an independantly run league? What about the BDSL?  As i say there are lots of questions that need to be answered.

I dont want to get to involved with this or upset anyone but!
I like the way the two leagues are being ran now and enjoy playing in them both and would not want the leagues to be changed again,but thats just what i think!.

I agree with you Sean why change something that isnt broken. There has been big changes already for the good I may add.
I don't see how it would improve anything by uniting the two leagues together. As players we want to play more and the two leagues over monday and tuesday works well. Another point to mention is that so many monday night players play tuesday so by joining them together you will have a lot less teams.

The comittee do a great job the BDSL, NNIA, NHSL and the Six Red in my opinion are a great success and we are lucky we have so many committed members and players enjoying snooker throughout the year without hardly any breaks. (sounds like my snooker ..no breaks at all in fact lol) :laugh:

The unification of the competitions was a fantastic idea, we should be grateful and happy with that and leave everything else alone.

Cheers Nick very well put mate its true, why change when it's fine the way it is,the NHSL,BDSL NNIA,NBSA and the Six reds are very succesful leagues or Events and it would be a shame to combine them into one!. :sorry:
