Hello folks and thank you for joining us in what is a glorious morning in sunny Nottingham. The D Day has finally arrived!!! Just for thoses few eskimos who may not understand the build up! This is the final match of the Nhsl league to decide the winner of the the fantastic prestigious Nhsl league champions title 2010-2011.

Does league snooker get any better than this....? with Everything resting on this final fixture match against the two title contenders it's going down to the wire tonight to see who will be crowned Nottingham league champions!!!

After last weeks close fantastic battles Bci managed to claw a 5-3 victory over the soild Beston Boyz, and Arnold CD Proved that they still have great strengths with a fantastic draw aginst the mighty pegasus who quite simply have been flying this season. There has been very little between the two giant title contenders all season both pushing and exchanging blow for blow.

I was watchings bits of the match while playing my own match at bci, they really looked up for it tonight did peg A and a cracking 70+ break from wayne.

I'll let Kwok give the match report at Pegasus but at BCI it was a belter.

Jason Bettridge v Nav Hussain
Hussain off to a flyer with a tremendous long red and a great 45 break.
Bettridge fought back though and pushed the frame into the colours before Hussain potted a great blue to take the opener for the visitors.

Barry Stark v Gary Spencer
Spencer having the first bite of the cherry with a good contribution of 24 and extended his lead to 35 before Stark began the fightback.
Some uncharacteristic mistakes from Stark allowed Spencer in again and he potted frame ball to put the visitors 2 up.

James Moore v Wayne Martin
Moore started brightly before an unlucky in off left Martin with the white in hand.
Martin potted a long red and made an 82 break, missing the penultimate red with a large break at his mercy.

Moore/Stark v Hussain/Martin
Martin in early again before missing an easy red on 28.
Moore making a fantastic 52 break off this before breaking down.
Hussain then made a brilliant 40 break before missing game ball blue.
A second opportunity came and Pegasus duly accepted this to win 4 nil at BCI.

A great game, everyone playing solidly - a credit to Nottingham snooker.

Mark Taylor v Keith Holgate
Keith Holgate got the action under way at Pegasus against Mark Taylor in the opening frame. The previous two encounters ending 1-1 between these two players. But it was "killer Keith" with ultra solid match play doninating much of the first frame doing what he does best producing solid outstanding snooker missing precious little and keeping Taylor at bay. A comfortable victory for Keith with Taylor conceding early on  in the frame. A awsome performance by Mr Holgate, a great lesson of solid match play snooker at it's best!!!

Jamie V Bash
Another awsome line up between two outstanding players, great expectations of fireworks!!! It was a cagey frame by these to great players, Jamie doing well keeping Bash at bay untill a superb trade mark Maqsood special long red into the corner pocket to open up a good lead in the cagey frame. Somegreat safety and potts by both players but it was Bash holding on to his well crafted lead to ease to victory to take the second frame for the visitors.

Chris Brooks v Jonathan Mason
Crisp potting Chris Brooks dominated much of this third frame, Jon Mason gifted a good scoring chance mid frame missing a simple red into the corner only to fluke another red somewhere!!! answers on the post card what happend next.....? Pink sitting pretty jon misses a simple pink into the centre pocket and it was pretty much curtains after that scuff!! Chris going on to make a 40+ break (please check score sheet at Pegasus for exact break) but a well taken break by Chris to pull a frame back for the home team.

Brooks /DCN v Holgate/Maqsood
Another awsome line up for the final pairs match of the night. Bash opening the account with another awsome trade mark Maqsood special long red into a corner pocket 10/10!!! Left with a 50/50 shot on a green on a super tricky match table which he jaws. Chris making a break of 26 then going in off into the centre pocket. Super cueing Keith adapting very well to the table getting the Bci pairing back into the frame with some solid scoring. A good safety by Chris Books landing the cue ball behind the yellow saw a three cushion escape hit the black twice and replaced to open up another lead for the home pairing. Good snooker by all four player Bash now finding himself in a spot of bother missing the red twice ment frame awarded if another foul, as he could see a red. Bash had no choice but to attempt a super long red into the far corner with deep screw and almost pulling it off with the red rattling the jaws and the cue ball fizzing back!!! Superb Safety by Keith created a good chance for Bash, but for a slow blue co the centre poctet seemingly drift into the jaws let Chris into score more. Bash later played a great safety creating Keith a good chance another superb crisp opening red by Keith got in to score a much needed 16 then rattling a red into the jaws. Pegasus pairing always had the advantage in this frame after the misses and going on to take the final frame of the night making it 2-2- at Pegasus!!!

The final scores finishing 2-2 at Pegasus, But it was a solid 4-0 away win for team Peagasus at Bci Snooker Centre that did the damage winning them the NHSL title 2010-2011!!!

Excellent away performance Wayne and team Pegasus and a superb 82 break by the Magician himself!!!

Just like to congrts pego on their excellent win. well done on your 82 break, it would have been nice for your to finish the season on a century, but im sure your more than content with an 82, especially considering how little you play these days. Also good 48 break form nav. Well done to gary on winning his frame as we all know he's had a frustrating spekll of late. well done gaz. looks like all the pego lads were firing on all cylinders at bci. Kwok was banking  on us getting at least 3-1 at home !

The lads also played well at pego and i think a 2-2 was a fair result there. Well done all and it was an enjoyable night.

Sorry Kwok, your Top man and i really wanted us to do it for you and bci. Your commitment is second to none and you really are a genuine and committed captain, thinking all your decisions carefully. Apart from my dad and Mrs, there's not many other people i take orders from without questioning, so i consider you part of the family. Maybe we can do it next year kwok, who knows.

I knew i should have played for pegasus when nav asked me earlier in the season !!

I didn't think it was right though, with too many good players in one team - that's why bettridge, moore, starky are moving to other teams next year !!

Well done Pegasus- you came to Bulwell and all performed very well indeed... great break from Wayne....You fully deserve the title....Unlucky to my fellow team mates and especially to Captain Kwok who does so much to promote BCI....

Great finish for the league even if it wasn't the result we were after....

WELL PLAYED CHRIS AND DANNY IN THE DOUBLES - I THOUGHT KEITH PLAYED REALLY WELL BUT SOME GREAT SAFETY FROM DANNY AND CHRIS AS GOOD AS EVER WAS ENOUGH FOR THE TITLE TO COME TO PEGASUS.

What a result for team Pegasus. Great result at Bulwell not many teams can go there and get a 4-0 result . Well played Nav solid ad ever and Wayne a sublime break mate. And an even more solid result in the pairs. Home team get in there. Seems Jonathon was thrown to the wolves in getting mr brooks. Great result in the doubles against a tough pairing of Keith and bash. Hard luck on not finishing out with bash mr Mathers. Very close game and a tough game. Great win lads. Well done team pegasus. Hard luck Bulwell always a pleasure . Just glad I'm back to winning ways , and what a way to do it against the very difficult Barry stark.

It's a great honour to be Captain of such a great side, despite yesterdays result i wouldn't have changed a thing!!! I was very happy with my formation and believe that if we played the same formation again 9/10 you'd be a very brave man to have backed that result!!! So based on that alone it tells me without being at Bci for the home leg Pegasus did somthing out the ordinary! and absolute 10/10 credit to the guys!!! I'm a firm believer in playing the strong percentages, so no matter the out come you never beat yourself up about the out come as 9/10 i'd be happy of my chances based on my decisions!!!

My famous catchphrase "That's Snooker for you!" rings so true, Some times when it's not your day it's just not ment to be, simple as!!! It's all part of the wonderful game that makes you a better player "what don't kill you will make you stronger" you always have to look at the brighter side  and draw the positives out of the negatives it's what separates the best from the rest, tomorrow is another day.

I remember winning this fantastic league title, in fact the un-believable treble not loosing a match all season around the same time last year. It was a awsome achievment and a great feeling so every credit to Wayne and team Pegasus on winning and i hope you enjoy the moments guys :thumbup:

Team Pegasus are the new champions and deserved ones at that, well done guys i thought you'd be dangerous and go all out, top marks for pulling off a remarkable grand finale victory!!!  :bravo: :bravo:
