A very tense semi final that was decided on the final black with Pegasus potting the last ball to win by 4 points.

Chris Brooks/Gary Spencer 51 -21 = 30 v John Cyrek/Colin Armstrong 53 + 21 = 74
Jamie Mathers/Danny Castel-Nuovo 64 - 0 = 64 v Harry Briody/Billy Johnson 40 + 14 = 54
Wayne Martin/Nav Hussain 94 - 14 = 80 v Chris King/Steve Richards 21 + 21 = 42

A great semi final played with all matches running concurrently at Pegasus.
This made for a tense finish with Nav Hussain sinking a brilliant high pressure long black to take the honours and keep Pegasus 'A' on for the NHSL treble.

Well played Cotgrave, you played some excellent tactical snooker and were unlucky.

What a very close match that  turned out to be Wayne . . .
Bad luck to Cotgrave,sounds like they played very tactical to keep yo ulot at bay as much as they could . . .

Still it woulda' been nice for an 'upset' and very nearly was,but for Nav potting the 'crunch' final black

Yep well done Pegasus A on reaching another final. Looked a tricky one on paper and so it proved to be. Wayne & Nav are becoming a very tough pairing.  :thumbup:

Unlucky Cotgrave.....you very nearly pulled it off.

I think the Secretary's Shield is a unique and welcome addition to our season. It's a real chance for all the team to come together and enjoy a good bonding session as it's not that often in the NHSL we all get to play at the same venue.  So hats off to Steve on it's creation  :thumbup:

It was only mid way through the match that me and wayne became aware of the points that we required in order to win the match. Before then we were playing with no tension, but soon as it was mentioned, things became ultra tight and sweaty palms !!!

We were fortunate a few times not to leave anything on when we missed, but when we did get our chance, we managed to hit around 20's most of the time. We required the pink and black and cotgrave had few good chances to knock the pink in but missed due to the tense atmosphere with everyone watching. I did have a long range chance on the pink which i managed to knock in but no position on the black, played a containing safety as i didnt want to leave any sort of a chance for cotgrave as they are easily capable of knocking them in.

After a few excellent safety from wayne, managed to get another chance at a long range black, composed myself, got the line right and then hit it with pace and it dropped.. FINAL FINAL.. well played cotgrave, you played very well and to get victory over chris and gaz on the match table just shows anything can happen in 1 frame encounters. Well dont jamie, danny, wayne, chris and gaz for working as a team and getting through to the FINAL, bring it ON !!!!

p.s, there will be some transfers going on with the season coming to an end and i can see Peg A and B teams will be strengthened for next season which looks very interesting and the league is just going to get that much better. Definately can see a few centruries being made next season. Nottingham Snooker is just getting better and better and i must say everyone in the league are enjoying the atmosphere and their snooker, many thanks to Steve, Mike and Wayne and many others who have used their own time in improving the website and league !! Thank you all. !!
