Phoenix Cue Sports Break their Duck

Phoenix Cue Sports get off the mark with their first win of the season

At home Gaz and Brett won the first two singles convincingly, both being conceded with reds on the table.

My game was a tight affair, the score was 7 points to 4 with 7 reds having been potted. a couple of breaks in the teens carried us over the line.

The doubles was close, a 30 break by Brett for Phoenix created a gap and Lenton fought back well. One controvertial decision. A free ball was called and the unfortunate away player forgot to nominate before sinking a blue. a nice clearance of 22 wrapped this one  up for a 4 - 0 home result.

Four close games away from home saw us grasp the crucial leg, to secure a vital 5 - 3 win overall.

Very enjoyable game, pleasant opponents and apologies for the over excitement brought about by our first win.
