gary won the match 4-1 which included a break of 74 in the 3rd frame missing a red with a further 67 points left on the table, the match was closer than the frame score says, with all but 1 frame going down to the colours. putting spencer into the last 8 round robin event at the hall green club in birmingham on april 4th

ENGLISH CLUB PLAYERS CHAMPIONSHIP

Mike Faulkner will play Alex Dunkley in the Club Players Championship Final at the EASB Finals weekend, May 23/24, World Snooker Academy, Sheffield.

In the qualifiers Faulkner had beaten Gary Smith 4-2 lost by the same score in the round robin quarter finals to Dunkley and defeated Mark Walker 4-0 with breaks of 48 and 55 to reach the semi finals where he edged Steve Crowley 4-3 after
leading 3-1.

Dunkley beat Adam Ingram 4-1 at his home club, Ingram 71 then lost in the group 4-3 to Walker 39,35 and 45 breaks, Dunkley 66 and 49.

In the semi finals Dunkley also won 4-3 after trailing Kevin Matthews 3-1 who made breaks of 50 and 74, Dunkley with a run of 54 won the last three frames dropping just 27 points.

Paul Metcalf, Grimsby made the highest break 109 in qualifying but did not compete in the quarter finals.
