James Harrison defeats Joe Jogia at BCI

Leicester’s Joe Jogia, who currently sits in 15th place on the PIOS rankings list returned to defend the title he won in February. Belper’s James Harrison had other ideas, playing some superb snooker in the final to take the title and the £60 first prize. Jogia had to settle for the £30 runners-up prize on this occasion.
In the plate tournament, fifteen-year-old Andrew Foster made it to his second successive final, losing out this time to an under-the-weather Wayne Martin. Martin found himself 2-0 down in his quarter-final against Jason Bettridge but then somehow managed to find an extra gear, winning an incredible nine frames without reply to take the Plate and £20 prize. Foster took home £10 as runner-up.
