What personal data we collect and why we collect it
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service Privacy Policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Communication Data includes any communication that you send to us, whether that be through a competition registration form on our website, through email, text, social media messaging, social media posting or any other communication that you send us.
We process this data for the purposes of communicating with you and for running snooker competitions. Our lawful ground for this processing is our legitimate interests which in this case are to reply to communications sent to us, to keep records and to successfully run snooker competitions.
Sensitive data
We do not collect any Sensitive Data about you. Sensitive data refers to data that includes details about your race or ethnicity, religious or philosophical beliefs, sex life, sexual orientation, political opinions, trade union membership, information about your health and genetic and biometric data. We do not collect any information about criminal convictions and offences.
Who we share your data with
The only data I will share with third parties is your name and telephone number. I only do this so that an opponent can contact you to arrange a snooker match.
I will never share your home address, date of birth or bank account details with a third party.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
We will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, which is to effectively run snooker competitions.
When deciding what the correct time is to keep the data for we look at its amount, nature and sensitivity, potential risk of harm from unauthorised use or disclosure, the processing purposes, if these can be achieved by other means and legal requirements.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
Additional information
How we protect your data
Your name, phone number and address is retained in my mobile phone and on my personal Onedrive cloud based storage area.
My mobile phone uses FaceID technology so that only I can access its contents.
My computers are password protected and my Onedrive account is also password protected. Nobody else apart from me knows my passwords and I do not write them down anywhere.
What data breach procedures we have in place
If I suspect that someone has accessed my devices and gained access to your personal data, I will contact you as soon as I become aware of the data breach.
