Warren Benjamin led 2-0 against Richard Pedley but the defender won the next three frames for an impressive 3-2 victory that sees Richard hold on to 49th position.

Manfred Corbin won the first frame against Callum Hodgman but the challenger won the next to level at 1-1. Manfred then regained the lead but Callum looked on course to force a decider when he potted green, brown and blue in the fourth frame. He tried to snooker his opponent behind the black but he left him with a very thin clip on the pink. Manfred brilliantly snicked in the pink, followed by match ball black for a good 3-1 win.
