Antony Moore travelled to Welcome Institute to take on Ben Green and he emerged a 3-2 winner. Antony won the first frame on the pink but Ben won the next on the blue with the help of a 36 break. Antony was ahead again after pinching the third frame on the pink, but Ben levelled once again, winning the next on the blue. The inevitable decider followed and Ben took an early lead, but some good safety from Antony got him back into the frame. With one red remaining, Ben left Antony a chance and he cleared to the pink to secure an excellent victory. Antony climbs to 11th position.
Martin Conway has now climbed a total of 44 places, his 10th victory coming at the expense of 7th placed John Fountain. But it was a close one, the match finishing 3-2 in Martin's favour.
Koen Hughes beat Alan Caulton 4-1 and he climbs to 37th position. That's back to back wins for Koen who has climbed a total of 18 places in 13 matches.
The final match of the evening saw Malc Grocock hold off the challenge of Jordan Parnham. Malc stays in 23rd position thanks to a good 3-0 win.
