I held on to 31st position with a 3-1 win against Carl Smith. I pinched the first two frames to lead 2-0 but then Carl starting playing much better and he won the third easily (I conceded with three reds left). He should also have won the fourth but I managed to pinch it on the black.

Audie Miller played really well to open up a 2-0 lead against Ant McMahon, but Ant fought back to level at 2-2. Ant unluckily went in-off the black in the decider to hand the victory to Audie who stays 14th.

Alan Caulton climbs to 28th thanks to a victory over Mick Garratt. Alan was well ahead in the first frame but Mick battled back well to go 1-0 up on the black. Alan then won the next four frames and should have won the next but Mick potted a good pink and black to make it 4-2. Alan won a hard fought seventh frame to win the match 5-2.

Paul Nicholas went 2-0 up against James Baillie and he led by 35 points in the third with only 35 left on table. But James played superbly to force the respot and he potted the black to make it 2-1. His confidence lifted he also won the next to level at 2-2 and set up a decider. The final frame was tight but Paul managed to edge it for a narrow 3-2 win that keeps him in 62nd position.

Moe Anyanwu beat Robert Garratt by the odd frame to hold on to 25th position. Match report courtesy of Moe:

1st frame - Moe makes a 46 break followed by a 25 break to go 1-0 up and he is cueing well.

2nd frame - Rob dominates the 2nd to win convincingly to make it 1-1.

3rd frame - Rob makes a couple of good 20 plus breaks but Moe comes back with a 36 break to go 2-1 up.

4th frame - Shocking frame. Kill me now! Reds all in the open but hard to get on a colour for both of us. Loads of easy misses on both sides. Rob wins it on colours. Worse frame of our lives. I nearly took up golf instead! 😂 2-2.

5th frame - Rob pots some good balls throughout taking the lead however towards the end he gets a couple of fluky snookers (his words was β€˜There’s always a chance of it when playing towards that end of the table!’ 😂)….He takes the frame to go 3-2 up needing one more for the match.

6th frame - Rob gets Moe in a great snooker behind the green at the start of the frame with all the reds in the open. Moe decided to play a hit and hope shot and falls fortunate to get the white safe. Moe goes on to make a 32 and 38 break to level the match. Rob tips the table up (like father like son! 😂)

The Decider - Moe dominates and starts to cue well again with Rob getting frustrated resulting in Moe taking the match 4-3.
