Chris Winter successfully fought off the challenge of Dan Moll, beating him 3-2 in a 3 hour match at Spot On Sneinton. In the deciding frame, Chris potted an excellent blue followed by the pink and black to win by just one point. That's four wins in five matches for Chris, who holds on to 6th position.

Ellis Abbott played well to take a 2-0 lead against his challenger Richard Sutton. A scrappy third frame was won by Richard, who then made a nice 31 break in the fourth as Ellis found himself needing a snooker on the brown. He managed to get the snooker but he left an easy blue for Richard, who potted it to level the match at 2-2. The decider was another scrappy affair. Richard thought he'd blown it when he went in off the pink but after a further bout of safety he then managed to sink it for an unlikely 3-2 win that sees him climb up to 57th position on the Ladder.

The match between Richard Pedley and Keiran Miles also went to a decider. The first four frames of an excellent match all went down to the colours and the final frame was settled on the black, with Keiran potting it for victory. He moves up to 53rd place.

Mark Hayman has now climbed a total of 33 places on the Ladder, his latest win a 3-0 reverse of Ben Reed at Newark Conservative Club. He now sits in 41st position.
