Alan Caulton fluked the black in the first frame to take a 1-0 lead against Moe Anyanwu, but Moe had a nice 39 break in the next to level the match at 1-1. Moe then won the next two on the colours to go 3-1 up before making a lovely 52 break in the fifth frame to lead 4-1. But Alan then started to play really well, making breaks of 28 and 40 as he reeled off three frames in a row to level the match at 4-4 and force a decider. Alan started well with a nice run of 34 but with just blue, pink and black left on the table, he was only 16 points in front. Moe took on a difficult blue, which he missed, leaving Alan a simple blue into the middle to take the match. However the pressure got to him and he missed it. Moe potted the blue followed by a difficult pink with the rest and a very low black off the spot to secure a fantastic 5-4 victory. Moe remains in 30th position and Alan one place below him in 31st.
Andy Wright holds on to 48th position thanks to a 3-0 win against Dean North who remains 60th.
Carl Smith made it back to back wins as he beat Adam Moss 3-2 at Alfreton. Carl climbs to 35th position.
Tony Casey's match against Lee Thorn ended up going all the way. Tony potted green, brown, blue and pink in the decider to win an excellent match 4-3 and he climbs to 38th position. That's Tony's third win in a row and he has risen a total of 28 places during the campaign.
