Thomas Vamplew made it four wins from four matches with a 4-3 victory over Andy Wright. He has climbed a total of 20 places since the start of the season and now sits in 22nd position. Here is a match report courtesy of Thomas:

A 4-3 win for myself against Andy Wright this evening, what a battle and a half. Got to thank him for a great match, which was played in a brilliant way, with sportsmanship shown from both players when needed, and some great play from both. Highly enjoyable.

Andy won the first two frames comfortably with some brilliant consistent potting, including a nice 32 at the end of the first.

Third frame I started to make the game more of a battle. A 22 helped spur me on and managed to get that frame.

4th and 5th I've carried on well making a 30 at one point. Been a battle with some great long potting from Andy. I've done my best to keep him out the balls with some good safety play.

6th frame has gone right to the wire with a respot required. Great pot from Andy to take it to a decider.

The final frame really summed up the whole match brilliant. A close battle to and throwing going to 61-61 up to the green. A great safety battle for a few shots ended up with a good green from myself and potted up to the black to take the victory.
