Well done Pegasus. I thought Arnold 'A' had put a spanner in the works last week when they went to Pegasus and won 4-0 but the Pegasus away team kept the match in the balance by winning 3-1 at Arnold, unfortunately the final result was 5-3 to Arnold which made this weeks encounter Pegasus v Bulwell SE such a cliff hanger.

Its all a team effort but the away leg did their stuff with a 4-0 win at Bulwell.

CONGRATULATIONS to Pegasus A

Haha, I had a feeling someone would beat my break in this match, I was surprised it held up for so long to be honest. I think you did owe me one Wayne so Im not too bothered that you did it :)

What an amazing match to be involved in and i think Wayne got the tactics right as we discussed a few on the way to BCI !! and made a few amendments.

The night got off to a flyer for Pegasus A at BCI, Nav playing against the ever dangerous Jason Betteridge. Jason got in first after a few tactical safety shots and a loose safety from Nav gave Jason the opening. Unlucky for jason, he pot the red and was prime position on the blue to go into the pack, he slotted the blue and split the pack of reds, only to see red go into corner bag. From there nav hit the 40 odd break and then another 20 or somthing to put the frame out of reach... As i said earlier in the day, 1 frame of snooker, anything can happen. Luck here and there can change the outlook of the frame totally and thats what happened.

What followed later on with garry and barry's tense encounter, both players missing some pots they normally would take 10/10, but it was garry who potted the balls and held his nerve to take the frame on the colours. Magician martin then let his cue do the talking !!! a in off by James Moore with a red over the pocket, martin crafted a majestic 82 break which wasent on at the start. He flowed through the break with excellent cueing and should definately had a century as he missed a straight forward red, but that gave us a solid platform for the doubles match.

Jamie and Barry almost had the doubles frame in the bag after James 50+ break but missed a tricky red into the middle bag which left nav with a few reds to play with. Nav slots in the first red followed by clearing rest of the remaining reds to take it into the colours. Does all the hard work and then misses a a simple cut on the blue and then a few shots later made up by dropping the blue on a long pot and then the pink. WHAT A MATCH as the BCI former champs were ready for this and so was Peg A and both teams displayed the art of break building !!! CASE CLOSED :drink:

It's a beautiful day and I can't wipe this stupid grin from my face.

Keep pinching myself as a four nil win at BCI is the stuff dreams are made of. Then to read the match report as absorb the quality of play and the breaks that were made just gives it a dream like script that even JK Rowling would find too far fetched.

Also big thumbs up to Cpt Kwok and his Super Elite team who been so gracious in defeat. I know from experience a few seasons back what a bitter pill it is to swallow missing out on the title by frame difference, you're a credit to Nottingham Snooker. Big thanks to Wayne and his superb captaincy which has finally ended our title drought.

2010/11 Pegasus A - take your rightful place in Pegasus folklore...superb stuff  :bravo: :bravo: :bravo:

The trophy cabinet at Pegasus is getting a bit cluttered now Mike.  You might need to clear out a few old birds to make way for some new ones!

Ah yes 'the pigeon'...very strange trophy that one? Have no idea what it is apart from being the ugliest trophy in existence.

Isn't that trophy for Steve Booth?
He keeps going on about a trophy (apart from buying his own) - we should give that or mount him a beer glass!!!!

I have the same grin Mr Langdon - a little bit of shock as well I think, nice to have finally captured the league title.

You are also bang on with the BCI comments - Very gracious guys - a quality trademark.

I think it's just the years of experience playing the wonderful game! Plenty of experience being on both sides of the coin, so pretty much water of the ducks back, showing my age now

Taking the rought with the smooth that's all it is, i can't stand sore losers spoils the whole etiquette of the wonderful sport. If you are happy for those who win they can only be happy for you when you do too.

Yes it's defo true Mike you are the New Champions  :bravo: :bravo:

Love that pigeon trophie at Pegasus always makes me laugh

Well done once again to Team Pegasus, good friends both on and off the table!!!
The flying horse is really flying now  :drink:

Maybe the pigeon trophie should be awarded to us for the one that flown away Lol

Well done Guys  ;)
