Nav Hussain wins his sixth Clarry Cup title

The Final

Played on Sunday 29 March 2026 at Spot On Hucknall

Congratulations to Nav Hussain who defeated Wayne Martin 4-1 in the final of the Clarry Cup, to secure the title for a record sixth time.

Frame 1
Both players started brightly. It was nip and tuck until a nice little 23 break from Wayne left Nav needing a snooker going into the colours. Nav potted the yellow and then laid a good snooker. Wayne failed to escape meaning Nav could now tie. However Wayne potted green, brown and blue to take a 1-0 lead.
Wayne 68-31 Wayne

Frame 2
Both players were still cueing very well, but Nav was presenting Wayne with too many chances. Breaks of 16,12 and 18 from Wayne saw him lead by 27 points with four reds still on the table. A 13 break from Nav meant he was only 15 points behind with the colours remaining. Wayne sank the pink, but a sublime long pot on the yellow by Nav was followed by the brown, blue and pink – black ball game. A loose safety by Wayne left the black over the bag and Nav dispatched it to level the match at 1-1.
Nav 57-49 Wayne

Frame 3
This was a scrappy frame and Nav was leading by just 2 points with 25 points left on the table. Nav potted a terrific long green, followed by the brown, but he missed relatively easy blue to the middle. A lovely long blue from Nav left Wayne needing a snooker. A few safety exchanges resulted in Wayne playing a poor safety and Nav potted the pink to take the frame and lead the match 2-1.
Nav 49-29 Wayne

Frame 4
Nav was in early with a run of 20. Later in the frame a lovely 36 break from Nav was enough to take the frame and a 3-1 lead in the match.
Nav 61-8 Wayne

Frame 5
Breaks of 12 and 40 saw Nav open up a 43 point gap with five reds remaining. Wayne replied with a knock of 20. With the colours on the table, Wayne had managed to reduce the deficit to just 4 points. He then potted yellow but missed an easy green to the middle. However another chance presented itself and Wayne potted a great green, then a brown to now lead by 5 points. However Nav potted a terrific blue and then the pink and black to take frame and match 4-1.
Nav 70-58 Wayne
