Darryl Clarke had an excellent 3-1 win against Malc Grocock which included a run of 43. He climbs to 16th position, just 4 places below Patrick Ashurt who leads the Spot On Hucknall pack. It's been a good few days for Darryl, who reached the final of the Hucknall Open on Sunday.

I was involved in a superb match with Sam Burton last night. After I won a scrappy opening frame, Sam fired in a wonderful 59 break (smashing his previous highest ever break of 49) to level at 1-1. Amazingly, he then repeats the feat it in the third frame, another 59 break to lead 2-1 and leave me shell-shocked. Knowing I had a game on my hands I upped my concentration levels and knocked in a 69 break to level the match at 2-2 and force a decider. After a break of 27 set me on course for victory, Sam dug deep, laying some great snookers and clawing his way back into the frame. Needing pink and black for victory, he potted a superb pink playing pin-point position to ensure he slotted home a simple black into the middle bag to seal the victory. A quality match and a fantastic performance from Sam, well done 👏 Sam climbs to 18th position on the Ladder.
