Patrick Hort climbs to 37th position thanks to a 4-1 win against Nick Lester. Patrick won a scrappy first frame and started to play better in the second, making a nice 28 break, but he ran out of position and broke down with several reds in the open. Nick pounced with a run of 24 and went on to level the match at 1-1. Patrick settled again and put Nick under a bit of pressure, making a few 20s along the way to a comfortable 4-1 win, despite early signs of a very different outcome.
