Ben Monk has moved into the top 16 thanks to a 3-1 victory over Dan Moll. Ben went 2-0 up but Dan managed to pull it back to 2-1 after Ben's tip came off. Dan very graciously fetched some glue from his van so that Ben could stick his tip back on. This meant Ben was able to avoid finishing the match with a rack cue and he won the next frame to secure the win and move up to 15th position on the Ladder.
Toby Bowley made it back to back wins with a 2-1 reverse of Richard Pedley. Toby climbs to 55th position.
Lee Thorn claimed the best player lost as he ran out a narrow 4-3 winner against Nick Sharp. Nick played really well to lead 2-0 but Lee made a nice 18 clearance in third frame, helped by a risky double into the corner pocket on the pink, to make it 2-1. Nick comfortably won the fourth to restore his two frame advantage. Then Lee started potting well and laying some great snookers as he won the next two frames to level the match at 3-3. The decider saw some terrific safety play from both players. Nick was 18 points ahead going into the colours but a barrage of snookers and missed escapes meant that Lee needed just the green ball for the win. He potted it for an unlikely victory that he himself described as "a robbery".
