Joe Reynolds challenged me and we played a very enjoyable match yesterday. Joe went 2-0 up thanks to some superb safety play and a break of 51. I then took the next with a 51 break of my own, before Joe sealed a 3-1 win by potting the pink to take a tight fourth frame. The win moves Joe up to 23rd position on the Ladder and he maintains his 100% record.

John Fountain fought off the challenge of Ant McMahon with a 3-1 win at Spot On Sneinton, during which both players played some excellent safety play. John took a 2-0 lead with the help of a 38 break in the second frame. Ant took the third frame on the black, but John made sure of the victory by winning the next in convincing fashion, Ant conceding with a red still on the table. John remains in 9th position and Ant stays in 16th.
