John Fountain climbs to 2nd position on the Ladder thanks to an excellent 4-2 victory over Tony Morgan at Welcome Institute. John went into a steady 3-0 lead before Tony made a lovely 70 break to win the fourth frame. He also won the next fairly comfortably to make it 3-2 but John hit back with a nice run of 44 which was enough to see him secure the win. That's John's third win in a row.

Steve D'Arcy held on to 40th position thanks to a hard fought 4-1 win against Patrick Hort. Patrick started the match strongly, winning the first frame in style, but Steve managed to win the next four frames on either the pink or black.

Ben Green beat Israr Ahmed 4-2. Ben sits just outside the money spots in 17th position and Israr is 10 places below him in 27th.
