Andrew Diacopoulos won a scrappy first frame against Patrick Hort. Andrew had a run of 47 in the next, but Patrick could have pinched it had he not gone in-off the final black. Now 2-0 up, Andrew continued to score well, making a 42 break to win the third before winning a scrappy fourth frame to secure a 4-0 victory.

Patrick Ashurst sealed his place in the quarter-finals with a close 3-1 win against Audie Miller. The highlight was a nice 42 break from Patrick in the third frame.
