Notts Amateur Snooker Championship

Guy Dennis - who first won this tournament as an 18 year old back in 1985 - is through to the quarter-finals of this season's championship thanks to a 3-1 win against Jim Harrison at Welcome Institute. Guy has won the title four times and he is bidding to become only the third player to have won the Notts Amateur title on five separate occasions.

Terry Dowson had a good 3-1 win against Audie Miller at Spot On, Mansfield. Terry - who reached the final of The Masters last weekend - would love to get his hands on the famous trophy for the first time.
