Terry Dowson fell 0-1 behind to his good friend Richard Wheelhouse, but breaks of 45 and 39 saw him take a 2-1 lead. Richard had a lovely knock of 84 in the fourth frame to level the match at 2-2 and set up an exciting decider. It came down to the colours, but Terry held his nerve to clear from yellow to pink to secure a bitter sweet victory.
