Yesterday's result:

Match report courtesy of Moe:

First frame- very scrappy with a lot of safety play with all colours going safe. Excellent long potting by Paul throughout. It went Down to the colours with Moe needing a snooker. Moe gets snooker but then fouls. Moe needs a snooker again and gets it but misses an green accidentally potting the brown with moe now needing a snooker for the third time. Moe gets the third snooker but misses an easy brown. Eventually moe misses an easy blue into the middle for Paul to play a nice double followed by a long pink to take the first frame. ????????

Second frame- better standard frame with both cueing better with Moe’s safety play being excellent leading Paul into unforced errors resulting in moe chipping away to go ahead. Moe makes a 23 beak to take a comfortable frame to level up.

Third frame- Moe is makes a 24 break to go ahead. Good safety exchange with Paul playing some great safety also but Moe is too strong clearing with a nice 35 break and goes 2-1 ahead.

Forth frame- Moe becomes complacent and drops off with Paul queuing well. Again good safety by both but Paul takes moe all the way to the black ball with paul potting it to take it to a decider.

Fifth frame- Moe’s back is against the wall now so knows he has to step up. Moe starts the frame off strong levelling up the handicap start but Paul also digs deep to stay close to moe with us going down to the colours. Paul then plays a poor shot on the pink to leave Moe with it in to the middle to take frame and match 3-2.

Tom Carpenter and Jordan Bowery have been scratched from this tournament for failing to communicate satisfactorily with the TD and their opponent. Andy Wright and Danny Ould receive walkovers into the next round.
