Alan Caulton is crowned Singles League Division 3 Champion 2024-25

Congratulations to Alan Caulton who has won Division 3 with an excellent record of 11 wins and only 3 losses throughout the campaign.

Mark Hayman takes the runner-up spot, finishing 4 points adrift of Alan and 2 points clear of Steve D’Arcy who takes 3rd place.

At the foot of the table, Nick Sharp and Lee Thorn finished level on points so it’s the head-to-head results that decide who is relegated. Lee beat Nick 3-0 back in December and Nick beat Lee 3-1 in April, meaning it comes down to frame difference, putting Nick at the bottom and relegating him to division 4. It can’t get much closer than that!

Alan will automatically be promoted to Division 2 and Nick will automatically be relegated to Division 4. However it is important to note that if players are removed or added to/from Divisions 2 or 4, then other players in this division may be consulted about moving to either of those divisions.

Alan has also qualified for the Champion of Champions tournament that will be held later in the year.

This division has been really competitive and I hope that you have all enjoyed the season and played your matches in the right spirit.

I will soon be sending a feedback questionnaire to all competitors to see what went well, what didn’t go well and what can be done to improve the player experience for everyone. Hang on to your thoughts and watch out for a message in the WhatsApp group.

I can now return your £50 deposits and distribute the prize money. Please send me your bank details via WhatsApp.
