A huge thank you to Stephen Lally at Phoenix Cue Sports for allowing us the use of 5 tables for over 8 hours free of charge and putting on free hot food.
Also a big thank you to all 20 players who competed (particularly Tom Lucas who switched from Derby to Nottingham for the day when Clint I’Anson failed to show) and also to the WAGS for being so supportive!
Nottinghamshire won the match 69 frames to 31. One of the many highlights of the day was Ashley Walker’s superb 128 total clearance. I captured most of this break on camera and I also got some footage of most players including some terrific breaks – see video below.
Jimmy and I selected our Men of the Match based on performances throughout the day. These were Tom Walters and Scott Cooney who were both very impressive throughout.Every Notts player contributed to a great win and no doubt everyone taking part will have their own highlights from the match.
We hope to hold this tournament every 6 months and the next one will be at a club in Derbyshire.
