Sean Hopkin 5-1 Dave Jobling
Sean Hopkin demonstrated why many believe he could go a long way in the game by putting on an assured performance against the highly rated Dave Jobling.
Hopkin’s 42 clearance in frame 3 was particularly impressive, as was his composure and solid safety play. Wayne Martin will have to be on his game to beat him in the last 16, that’s for sure.
Jobling didn’t do a lot wrong. He made some decent breaks himself but he did not have much of the running and Hopkin’s game was just that little bit stronger on the night.
