Lenton Liberal 2023/24 Winter Snooker League Champions

Monday Team League

Lenton Liberal sealed the 2023/24 League Championship in fine style, defeating BCI B by 6 frames to zero.

Congratulations to Jon Shapland, Phil Connolly, and Danial Kamran on a great season.

They were at the top of the league for most of the season and only lost twice in the second half allowing Spot on Hucknall and Triple S to catch up.

Spot on had a better frame difference going into the final match but an emphatic win over Bulwell clinched them the title.

Spot on Hucknall had to settle for being runners-up again (the last 2 years).

Solid performances by BCI AJ in holding Spot on Hucknall to a draw.

Great performances on the night from the fast-improving Jacob Reynolds (BCI) and Ellis Abbott (Spot on Hucknall).

Triple S finish in third place following a fantastic 6-0 win against bottom side Carlton A.

Only the loss on the penultimate week preventing them from being right amongst the top two spots.

The last match this week saw BCI Hotshots hold The Venue to a draw and dent their chances of finishing in the top 3.

The Venue having to settle for fourth place in the end.

The Towers – blank week

It’s the Cup Final next Monday with BCI B taking on The Venue at Spot on Hucknall.

Match starts at 7.30pm and spectators are welcome.
