Patrick Ashurst wins The Masters
There was no stopping Patrick Ashurst in this year’s Masters down at Spot On in Hucknall. He played really well all day, dropping only three frames and two of those were in a close semi-final match with Dave Jobling.
Patrick was the only player to record a break over 50, making a 55 break and a 53 break in the same frame during his last 16 match with Steve Butler.
Patrick’s opponent in the final was Terry Dowson who also played very well, but the Hucknall man proved too strong, scoring heavily from the chances that came his way.
There were notable performances from 11 year old Rocco Amalou who beat Karl Barrett 3-0 in the last 16 and narrowly lost out to Dave Jobling 2-3 in the quarter-finals. Definitely a player to watch.
