Phoenix condemn Arnold to their second straight defeat
Tuesday Team League
Arnold Civil Defence lost 3-5 for the second consecutive week. Phoenix Cue Sports – who themselves lost 3-5 last week – took the spoils as Keith Waterhouse won both of his frames and his three team-mates all won a frame each.
Arnold Civil Defence dominated the Tuesday Team League back in the noughties, winning it no fewer than eight times in ten seasons between 2000 and 2009. But since then the spoils have been shared by a number of teams and Phoenix will be hoping that it will be their name on the trophy this season.
The other three fixtures that were due to be played this week have been postponed due to a clash with the England v Wales football match. League Organiser Wayne Martin has given the teams until the end of the season to get them played.
