Carlton Liberal Club narrowly lose to Lenton Liberal Club in the Cup
Monday Team League
The Knockout Cup quarter-final match between Carlton Liberal Club and Lenton Liberal Club required a final frame decider to determine which team would progress to the semi-finals. Carlton got off to a strong start, taking a 2-0 lead. But Lenton hit back with Dale Prime and Tom Laycock winning the pairs frame and then Tom beating Jack Tenney in the third singles frame to set up an exciting finish. Dale Prime did the business in the decider, beating Carlton’s Jack Tenney to send his team through.
The other quarter-final match was a bit one-sided with the Spot On Hucknall pairing of Patrick Ashurst and Darryl Clarke defeating the Hidden Spot pair 3-0 away from home.
The league now takes a break for the Christmas period and returns on 9 January 2023.
