Hucknall lead the way by one point

Spot on Hucknall 4-2 Carlton A

Spot on Hucknall top the league after 8 weeks, they beat bottom side Carlton A 4-2 in a close encounter at Hucknall.

Joe Reynolds got Hucknall off to a great start, a 40+ break taking the opener against James Baillie.

Wayne Martin lost the next frame against Kev Barlow, the 35-handicap proving too much to overcome.

Daz Clarke and Ben Cooper (Laurel & Hardy) restored the lead by winning a very tight pairs frame.

Wayne Martin then pushed Hucknall over the winning line by defeating James Baillie, making a good 54 break in the process.

Kev Barlow took the final game of the night for Carlton, defeating Daz Clarke on the final black.

The Towers 4-2 BCI B

The Towers are getting back to normal form, another win this week and now only 10 points off the top with a game in hand.

Lea Bradshaw got the Manfield side off to a great start, defeating BCI’s Liam Morrisey.

Marc Morrisey took the next for BCI in defeating Notts Am champ Andy Diacopoulos.

Dan Moll and Lea Bradshaw then paired up and won the scotch pairs frame, taking down the family Wainwright in the process.

Shaun Kilkie inflicted another defeat on Diacopoulos before Dan Moll did the decisive damage against Paul Broad and took the win for Towers..

BCI Hotshots 4-2 Carlton B

BCI Hotshots secured a great win against Carlton B, bring them even on points with Towers.

Tony Collins took the opener for BCI in a close one with Bob Walker.

Carlton’s Dan Di Falco then evened things up by taking out Kwok Yip.

In a tight scotch pair, it was BCI (Yip and Collins) who took the valuable 2 points, winning the frame by 7 points.

Carlton wasn’t done though, Bob Walker pulled the next frame back, beating James Robinson and giving his team the opportunity to draw the match.

Sadly, Josh Morley had other ideas and he beat Dan Di Falco in a low scoring game but more importantly got the points for BCI.

Triple S 2-4 The Venue

The Venue had a great comeback win against Triple S, winning 4-2 at Skegby and moving themselves back into 4^th place in the league.

Steve Donner got Triple S off to the ideal start in beating Andy Wain.

Tony Morgan then followed suit and put his side 2 nil up by defeating Don Merry.

The Venue boys are resilient though and back they came, winning the pairs in convincing fashion to evens things up 2-2.

Andy Wain then defeated Keith Waterhouse to put the Rainworth team in front for the first time on the night.

Don Merry then completed the win for The Venue by defeating Nottinghamshire’s Steve Donner and making it 4-2.

Lenton Liberal 4-2 BCI AJ

Final match this week saw Lenton Liberal climb back into title contention, defeating BCI AJ 4-2 in a very closely matched game.

Danial Kamran got Lenton off to a flyer, defeating Jacob Reynolds convincingly.

Jon Shapland and Ash Field then fought out a close frame, Field taking the honours by 5 points and had a 31 break along the way.

Kamran and Shapland then combined for Lenton and hammered the BCI pairing of Field and Reynolds.

Parm Bilkhu pulled one bac for BCI, defeating Kamran to give BCI hope of the draw.

Jon Shapland then provided the final nail in the coffin for Lenton and beat Talvin Mudhar to take 4 points from the night.
