Lenton go back on top for a Merry Christmas

BCI B 1 v 5 Lenton Liberal

Christmas came early for Lenton Liberal as they went back to the top of the league following a very fortunate night against BCI B.

Phil Connolly winning both his frames on fluked blacks and Danial Kamran fluking game ball blue to win the pairs frame.

This leaves Lenton leading by a single point over the chasing pack heading into the Christmas break.

They also have a match in hand.

The Venue 1 v 5 BCI Hotshots

BCI Hotshots caused a shock this week in defeating The Venue on their home turf.

Kwok Yip and Josh Morley producing some excellent wins over the Rainworth side.

Don Merry won the only frame for The Venue on the night but it was too late by this time and the damage was complete.

BCI AJ 3 v 3 Spot on Hucknall

It was honours even at BCI with last weeks top of the league Spot on Hucknall scraping a draw with BCI AJ.

Joe Reynolds got Spot on off to a great start, making a 36 break in hid defeat of Parm Bilkhu.

Patrick Ashurst doubled the lead by defeating Joe’s younger sibling and ever improving Jacob Reynolds.

AJ then levelled things up with Ash Field and Parm Bilkhu making a scotch pairs beak of 46 to make it 2-2.

A brotherly clash then ensued; this time it was Jacob defeating Joe in a high scoring thriller that put AJ one from victory.

Patrick Ashurst is made of stern stuff, and he levelled things up with a tight win over Ash Field.

Carlton A 2 v 4 Triple S

Triple S turned things around following last week’s defeat and defeated Carlton A 4-2.

The Skegby side had Dave Bolton back following his brilliant bronze medal at the Ability Sport games in Thailand.

Well done, Dave, we are all very proud of your achievements.

Steve Donner winning both his singles frames as well as teaming up with Bolton in winning the pairs frame.

Keith Waterhouse also got in on the act in taking out Kev Barlow.

The Towers 5 v 1 Carlton B

The Towers were again in fine form again this week, defeating Carlton B by 5 frames to 1 and moving them up the league into 5th place.

Dan Moll, Bob Gould, and Andy Taylor with great wins against the dangerous Carlton side.

Only Dino di Falco getting a win for Carlton that leaves them second from bottom over the festive period.

The league now has a festive break with games returning on the 8^th January.
