Victory for Brett at Spot On

Congratulations to Troy Brett who defeated Sean Hopkin 3-1 in the final.

Brett eased into a 2-0 lead before Hopkin pulled one back to make it 2-1.  The fourth frame finished on a re-spotted black and Brett produced a top quality pot to win the frame, match, trophy and £70 cash.  Hopkin received £30 cash for finishing runner-up.  Tom Kerslake had a run of 86 in the group stages to win the £10 grade 1 high break prize.

Jamie Sampson came back from 2-0 down to win the grade 1 plate final, beating Wayne Martin 3-2.  It was terrific performance from Sampson as Martin had improved with each match throughout the tournament.  Sampson received £20 for his win.

Debutant Gary Deluce beat Harry Farrell 3-1 in the grade 2 plate final to win £20.  Incredibly there was no break over 30 from any grade 2 players on the day so Farrell received £10 as runner-up.

The grade 3 plate final saw Martin Caulton defeat Captains Cup finalist Dan Norton 3-0.  Caulton also made the highest break in grade 3, a run of 30.  It was a clean sweep from Caulton which earned him £30.
