Lenton Liberal Club go four points clear with a whitewash of The Venue

Last week’s leaders, The Venue, were brought crashing back down to earth by Lenton Liberal Club who whitewashed them on their home turf. All five frames were close, but the Lenton pairing of Tom Laycock and Dale Prime managed to win every frame to secure the maximum six points.

Spot On Hucknall had a good 4-2 away win, which was enough to move them up from fourth to second in the table. Although it could easily have been a win for their opponents Carlton Liberal Club, if James Baillie and Mario De-Padova had managed to pinch a very close pairs frame. Kevin Barlow impressed for Carlton, winning both of his singles frames.

BCI AJ drew level on points with Hidden Spot thanks to a 5-1 home win against the Radford pairing of Danial Kamran and Nisar Abbasi. This was another match with some very close frames.

League action takes a break now until the new year. BCI AJ and The Venue haven’t got a game until 9 January 2023.
