Just eight points separate the title contenders with two weeks to go

Only two weeks left and it’s getting hotter at the top.
Lenton Liberal Club maintained their lead at the top with a solid 5-1 win against BCI AJ, but its getting very tight at the top with only 2 points between the top two teams and all to play for. The combination of Phil Connolly, Dale Prime and Jon Shapland again proving very hard to beat.
Spot on Hucknall kept the pressure on the league leaders with a 6-0 victory against Hidden Spot. Again it was Malc Grocock and Daz Clarke in solid form on a Monday night. Hidden Spot pushed them all the way though. Danial Kamran and Nisar Abbasi have proven they are great competitors this season.
The Venue are still pressing and a superb 6-0 win against Carlton Liberal Club keeps them in the hunt for the league title. There were a lot of tight frames in this match and the Carlton team of James Baillie, Kev Barlow, Simon Bundred and Ian Ward were unfortunate not to get more from this match.
Next week’s tie between Lenton Liberal Club and The Venue is arguably the most important match of the season for both sides.
