Triple S go top of the league as Spot on Hucknall slip in title race!!!

Monday Team League

It’s all change at the top of the Nottingham Winter Snooker League this week as league as Triple S take over the top spot following another solid win at Spot on Sneinton.

Spot on Sneinton 2 v 3 Triple S

Triple S drafted in Adam Clift again whilst Terry Dowson topped up his tan on his “speed dating yacht”.

Not sure if Terry wants to come back.

The team change paid off as Clift won both his singles matches to put the Skegby side in pole position.

Hats off to the Sneinton team though as they have had health issues across the team, they keep fighting on.

Let’s hope that Toby and Terry are back to 100% fitness soon.

Spot on Hucknall 2 v 3 Lenton Liberal

Lenton provided the surprise of the week by defeating former league leaders Hucknall with some amazing pressure pots.

Wayne Martin got Hucknall off to a great start, a 55 break against Phil Connolly setting the evening going.

Danial Kamran potted an amazing black in his titanic battle with Ben Cooper, getting Lenton back level.

Lenton were too strong in the pairs with Kamran and Connolly combining for the win.

Daz Clarke pulled one back for Hucknall, but the evening belonged to Kamran who despite coming under pressure from Wayne Martin catching up the 42 handicap, kept his nerve and potted a fantastic match winning blue.

BCI Hotshots 4 v 1 Belvedere

BCI got back to winning ways this week with an impressive win against Belvedere.

Tony Collins was in fine form, winning both his matches for the hotshots.

Kwok Yip was again fundamental in the team win with singles and doubles success.

Chris Dent with the only success of the night for Belvedere in his singles win against BCI Captain Josh Morley.

The Towers 3 v 2 Carlton Liberal

The final match this week saw another solid win for The Towers. This week they narrowly defeated Carlton Liberal.

Captain Andy Taylor winning the important frame against Rob Walker.

This win puts Towers right up there and within touching distance of the top spot.

The revised league tables is below, Spot on Masters results have been expunged.

Patrick Ashurst (Spot on Hucknall) still leads the way with the seasons highest break of 60.

Lastly, the Knockout Cup draw was made this week.

Match to be played 3^rd February.
