Terry Dowson makes brilliant 109 clearance!!!!

Monday Team League

What a week of breaks it has been, Terry Dowson goes top of the break chart with a brilliant 109 clearance at Carlton Liberal.

Dowson was earlier part of another awesome break, this time teaming up with Adam Clift in making a stunning scotch pairs break of 75.

This was even better though and could not have been made by a nicer guy in the Nottingham snooker league.

Congratulations Terry on a brilliant achievement!!!!

BCI AJ 1 v 4 Spot on Hucknall

Spot on Hucknall remain top of the league thanks to a very solid win at the dangerous BCI.

Hucknall were down a few players this week, but Ben Cooper and Wayne Martin managed to get a result.

Cooper was particularly impressive in winning all his frames.

Spot on Sneinton 3 v 2 Belvedere

Spot on Sneinton picked up a great win against Newark’s Belvedere club.

Captain Toby Bowley got Sneinton off to a great start by defeating Chris Dent.

Tom Carpenter pulled one back for Belvedere before Nick Sharp and Terry Thompson won the pairs frame to put Sneinton back in the driving seat.

Newark captain Chris Dent then defeated Nick Sharp to level the match.

Terry Thompson then got the win with a solid victory against Carpenter and most importantly getting 8 points for his team.

The Towers 5 v 0 BCI Hotshots

A fantastic maximum point win for Towers against BCI that puts them back into third place in the league with 3 games in hand.

Wins for Andy Diacopoulos, Lea Bradshaw, Andy Taylor, and Bob Gould for the Mansfield team.

James Robinson had a great chance to pinch a frame back when he had Andy Diacopoulos needing snookers. Diacopoulos got them all but then left the black in the pocket.

Sadly, Robinson missed his golden chance, and the reigning Notts Amateur champ potted the black to win the frame 105 – 100 (this frame also last 1 hour and 20 mins).

Carlton Liberal 1 v 4 Triple S

The final match of the week was a belter that included some of the best break building that has been seen across Nottingham League snooker for quite some time.

Kev Barlow was first up against Adam Clift, a 50 break from Clift winning the opener for Triple S.

Carlton’s Rob Walker then defeated Terry Dowson to level the match at 1-1.

Things then got a little crazy, Adam Clift & Terry Dowson combined for a brilliant 75 scotch pairs break in putting the Skegby side 2-1 up.

Things were just warming up though as Terry Dowson made a mesmerising 109 clearance against a helpless Kev Barlow to win the match.

Just to keep up the standard Adam Clift followed this up with a 69 break in his win over Rob Walker.

Brilliant scoring by Triple S and congratulations again to Terry on an awesome achievement.

With only a few weeks left, the league is still very much up for grabs.

The top teams all have to play each other so anything can happen.
